The dye takes about 10\u201315 seconds to pass through your body. When the dye reaches your eye&#8217;s blood vessels, it will cause them to &#8220;fluoresce,&#8221; or glow brightly.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Your eye doctor will use a unique camera to take photographs as the dye flows across your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.optometrists.org\/general-practice-optometry\/guide-to-eye-health\/how-does-the-eye-work\/eye-anatomy-the-back-of-the-eye\/\">retina<\/a>.
