But, as with any medical condition, the earlier an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.optometrists.org\/general-practice-optometry\/guide-to-eye-conditions\/\">eye condition<\/a> is diagnosed, the sooner you can receive effective treatment.<\/p>\n<p><b>According to statistics, an estimated 93 million adults in the United States are at high risk for serious eye health issues, but only half have visited an eye doctor in the past 12 months<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, studies show that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Over 150 million Americans are living with some sort of vision problem.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Up to 8 million are suffering from poor vision due to undiagnosed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.optometrists.org\/childrens-vision\/guide-to-pediatric-eye-conditions\/what-is-myopia\/\">myopia<\/a> (nearsightedness), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.optometrists.org\/childrens-vision\/guide-to-pediatric-eye-conditions\/what-is-long-sightedness\/\">hyperopia<\/a> (farsightedness) or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.optometrists.org\/general-practice-optometry\/guide-to-eye-health\/how-does-the-eye-work\/astigmatism-top-9-faqs\/\">astigmatism.<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Over 4 million suffer with significant vision loss or blindness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Therefore, if you notice any changes in your vision or any of the symptoms below, it is always best to consult with your eye doctor.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>1.
